The Liebieghaus antiquities department showcases the cultures from ancient Egypt to classical Greece and Rome, spanning more than three and a half millennia.

The medieval collection unites European sculptures of some seven hundred years, of which the earliest date from the ninth century.

The Liebieghaus is home to a collection of modern-era sculptures dating from the early Renaissance to Neoclassicism.
